‘The Real Z’
If your child loves film making or stories about achieving goals and having friendships than they may enjoy ‘The Real Z’ by Jen Calonita. As a blogger and You Tuber both Isabella and I really enjoyed this book. I personally loved how it teaches kids to follow their dreams and stay true to themselves, instead of being cutting edge or like everyone else.
The Real Z- The Book
‘The Real Z’ by Jen Calonita is about a young girl named Suzanne Yang, known by her friends and family as Z. She is an amazing American Girl Stop Motion film maker and vlogger. Her and her friends (the z crew) create videos as a hobby but Z has a real passion for film making. In this story Z applies for a film festival and has to create a totally different type of video. Will she be able to wow the judges and manage everything else going on her life?
‘The Real Z’- The Review
‘The Real Z’ is such a fun and creative story that teaches a valuable lesson of staying true to yourself in order to fulfill your dreams. It is never a good idea to copy someone else, or to be someone you are not. If you do happen to achieve success that way, you won’t be able to keep it up and you won’t be happy. Z has real life struggles in this story, that everyone goes through at some point in their life. Sometimes, we get so preoccupied with our own thing, our own goals that we let our friendships and other things slip under the rug. Z has to manage her school life, extracurricular activities, family and friendship all while staying focused on her dreams and vision for her video.
