This is the first book in the series, Agatha Girl of Mystery written by Steve Stevenson, illustrated by Stefano Turconi.
What’s it about?
Agatha Girl of Mystery, The Curse of the Pharaoh is about a brilliant, wealthy 12 year old girl named Agatha who is an international detective. She belongs to a ver elite detective family, her parents seem to be off traveling all of the time, on their own missions. Leaving Agatha under the adult supervision of her butler, Chandler. While Chandler is very capable to take care of every crazy situation that unfolds, Agatha definitely calls the shots in their relationship. Some children may dream of a life like this.
When Agatha’s cousin Dash needs help on his detective school exam, she is ready to fly from England to Egypt in a flash. Agatha, Dash, Chandler and Watson (Agatha’s cat) go on an Egyptian adventure to find a ancient Egyptian Tablet which was stolen from an archeological dig.
What follows is a satisfying mystery with all clues laid out plainly, giving the reader the chance to play along and solve the mystery with Agatha and the gang.
Review
This book was an exciting adventure that definitely keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. This book is great for children to fall in love with the mystery genre. The characters were well developed as were the stories. One thing we loved the most was that the book is based on a super smart girl who uses her amazing intelligence to solve the mystery.
