Easter Egg Addition
Helping children develop fluency with math facts doesn’t have to be tedious. It can be tons of fun! We are going to share with you a fun way to reuse those plastic eggs from their Easter Basket to help them develop fluency with math facts.
- Plastic Eggs
What to do:
- First, on one half of a plastic egg, you need to write the ADDENDS in a number sentence
- Then, on the other half of the plastic egg, you complete the Number Sentence with the SUM (answer).
- Next, separate the 2 parts of the plastic eggs, mix them up.
- Then, have the kids put them back together making the accurate Number Sentences.
This set uses Addition Doubles but you could include any facts that your students need to practice to develop math fluency. It also works with any of the other OPERATIONS (subtraction, multiplication, and division).
Lots of the plastic eggs are on sale after Easter!
