Love, Santa
Is your child is growing up and starting to ask questions about Santa? Do you think they are ready to know the truth? Are you at a loss of how to break it to them? If this feels like your current situation then you may want to pick up this brand new book ‘Love, Santa’ written by Martha Brokenbrough.
Love, Santa (The Book)
‘Love, Santa’ written by Martha Brokenbrough illustrated by Lee White is a beautiful story about a young girl named Lucy who has developed an amazing relationship with Santa. Lucy and Santa exchange letters for years and as Lucy grows she starts questioning things. Finally, Lucy grows the nerve to write to her mother; Mom, Are you Santa? Her mother responds to say that no, she is not Santa because Santa is bigger than any one person. This story is a great way to transition kids in a loving way through this common childhood experience.
Love, Santa (Review)
‘Love, Santa’ is a story that I was a little bit worried about at first. Isabella picked out this story from Scholastic to review. She was super excited to read it, she saw the illustrations and how the envelopes open up and have the letters inside. But, I felt anxious about it. Isabella is a smart cookie and recently began questioning Santa, but I wasn’t sure if I was ready for her to lose that magic.
Santa Claus
Isn’t it something, Santa Claus? As parents, we have to make the choice as to whether we are going to continue this tradition of telling our children about Santa Claus; which is truly a magical story that brings Christmas magic to life. However, it kind of distracts from the true meaning of Christmas. It also is something that they are going to have learned about when they get older. They are going to have to learn that we all carry out Santa’s spirit throughout the season, we bring him out through kindness to one another and the power of imagination.
