A Maggie Brooklyn Mystery: Girls Best Friend written by Leslie Margolis is a fun and exciting tale about a young girl named Maggie from Brooklyn, New York. Maggie is your typical tweenager with totally embarrassing encounters with her crush Milo, serious drama with her friend-enemy Ivy and of course her accidental and totally secret side hustle as a dog walker. She gets her first chance to sleuth it out when neighborhood dogs begin disappearing.
The Review- A Maggie Brooklyn Mystery: Girls Best Friend
A Maggie Brooklyn Mystery: Girls Best Friend is an amazing well written mystery novel for advanced or preteen readers. The characters are well developed and typical preteens, readers will easily identify with. Readers will meet the protagonist and fall in love as she uncovers clues and starts piecing everything together. Not only does Maggie expose the dog napper, but she also solves a second mystery, her landlady’s missing fortune. We loved the complicated story line and how it was like three stories in one book. A definite must read for preteens and mystery lovers.
