My Tooth is Loose!
My Tooth is Loose! written by Sue Nicholson illustrated by Capucine Mazille is another of Isabella’s favorite books. She has loved this book since she was tiny, there is even a video of her reading it at 3 years old. I also wrote about these books briefly before in another post. These books come with cute, little tooth tins to use when your little one loses their teeth.
My Tooth is Loose! (girl version)
This story is about a little girl named Lilly who loves all things, GIRL! Dressing up and playing pretend. She has learned that taking care of her teeth is super important especially if she wants to keep her dazzling princess smile. She becomes frantic when she finds one of her shiny front teeth loose. She goes to her older sister Maria for advice. Between Maria, and their parents Lilly manages to accept the loss of her tooth eventually.
Review
This is a great story to get your daughter ready for losing her teeth. It helps explain why taking care of your teeth is so important. As well as why they fall out. It also explains how the tooth fairy works and helps children become more excited about losing their teeth instead of afraid.
My Tooth is Loose! (boy version)
This story is about a little boy named Daniel who finds one of his teeth are loose one morning. His older brother Ryan helps him on his journey, explaining how and why his tooth is loose and why it is important to get a new tooth. They even discuss different animals teeth and the tooth fairy. You can even spot Lilly from the other book in one of the illustrations on one of the pages.
Review
This is also a great story to get your son ready for losing his teeth. It explains how animals lose their teeth as well. It also explains about the tooth fairy and excited your child during this sometimes scary transition.
