Tape Resist Easter Egg Craft
I love spring. It is a time of new beginnings, a rebirth. The weather is changing, the flowers and trees are blooming. Animals, especially birds, are peeking out and showing their presence. It is such a wonderful time—a wonderful time to start things, to get creative. To breathe life back into your homeschool. Celebrate spring with this Tape Resist Easter Egg craft. Before we begin, take a moment to pin this post to your craft board.
Since this is the season to color eggs, we decided to do our own little spin on the tradition. Traditional egg coloring can be quite a mess and sometimes such a waste. These simple tape resist Easter egg crafts are fun, easy, and can last a lifetime. Another great thing about this craft is that you probably have most of these items in your home! You can supplement the paper plates with cardstock or some other sturdy material that you can put tape on and take off without ripping, and that is easy to cut.
What you will need:
You most likely have all the supplies you need already in your home. If you don’t, a quick run to your local drugstore or office supply store should be able to supply you with all you need. However, I have included affiliate links to Amazon, where you can purchase everything you will need.
What to do:
- First, take some tape and create a design on the paper plate.
- Once the design is placed, cover it with paint. You can’t go wrong, no rules!
- Next, let it dry.
- Once the paint is dry, remove the tape from the plate.
- Once the tape is removed, trace/draw an egg shape and cut it out.
