I enjoy learning and growing, and this book from Dennis DiNoia of Mr. D Math is a must-read for anyone who wants to learn and grow. Yes, Mr. DiNoia’s book, TEACH: Creating Independently Responsible Learners, is perfect for homeschool parents, parents, teachers, and students. I enjoyed reading about Mr. D’s journey from student to teacher to the fantastic Mr. D Math curriculum creator.
I also loved the chapter on Learning How to Think and how it shared the importance of being aware of our thoughts and the power of positive thinking.
Sharing the importance of students understanding a concept and then teaching it and presenting it.
I also took the importance of checking our work, as it is indeed the way we learn and grow.
Being a coach, letting them learn by experience, giving our children the opportunity to discover for themselves.
The importance of doing what we love to do and how we can use what we love to get us through stuff we may not love as much.
He also discussed masterminds and goal setting and how to do this in your life.
