30 Days of Thanksgiving
It is one of our most favorite times of the year. It is November! With Thanksgiving in November and Christmas just around the corner, it is the best time to teach our children gratitude. Over the past couple of years, we try to focus on gratitude in the month of November. We do this with 30 Days of Thanksgiving. Giving Thanks for all the amazing things in our lives is so important. It is also an important lesson for kids.
30 Days of Thanksgiving Printable
For the past three years, we have created journals to print out and write 5 things you are thankful for each day of the month. These journals can be used any year, so if you would like a previous design, feel free to enjoy them here, here and here. This years journal can be downloaded right here.
How Does the Thanksgiving Journal work?
Every day, either at the beginning of the day or at the end, sit down and write out 5 things to be thankful for that day. Each day come up with 5 new things, it may be difficult at first but once you start recognizing all the positives in your life it will get easier. They don’t have to be extravagant things to be grateful for, it could be as simple as running water, a home/ roof over my head, my family etc. It is a great thing to do with your child or as a family.
I love this activity because it helps teach gratitude and stay positive. It is a wonderful way for all of us to become more conscious of what goes right each day.
