30 Days of Thanksgiving
It is one of our most favorite times of the year. It is in November! With Thanksgiving in November and Christmas just around the corner, it is the best time to teach our children gratitude. Over the past couple of years, we try to focus on gratitude in November. We do this with 30 Days of Thanksgiving. Giving Thanks for all the fantastic things in our lives is so important. It is also an important lesson for kids.
30 Days of Thanksgiving Printable
For the past three years, we have created journals to print out and write five things you are thankful for each day of the month. These journals can be used any year, so if you would like a previous design, feel free to enjoy them here, here and here. This year’s journal can be downloaded right here.
How Does the Thanksgiving Journal work?
Every day, either at the beginning of the day or at the end, sit down and write out five things to be thankful for that day. Each day comes up with five new things, it may be difficult at first, but once you start recognizing all the positives in your life, it will get easier. They don’t have to be wild things to be grateful for, and it could be as simple as running water, a home/ roof over my head, my family, etc. It is a great thing to do with your child or as a family.
I love this activity because it helps teach gratitude and stay positive. It is a beautiful way for all of us to become more conscious of what goes right each day.
